With this said the BE is going to be put into a Dan Case essentially with zero additional fans besides the Asetek 645LT fan since squeezing another is 92mm fan is technically possible but with all the PSU wires is probably not doable, so I am really hoping for sub 80 degrees without having to jack up the fan curve without an overclock. The FTW 3 is a great card but it is not a card that out preformed the Black when it comes to gaming and FPS they are the same the temps will stay lower on a out of the box fan curve, but set you black to 60% fan speed which will not shorten the lifespan by the way and you than have a card preforming at the same fps and same temps and not to much more noise there is a bit more noise of course but the price gap makes it a no brainer. I had the RTX 2080 Ti XC but sold it for a XC Ultra but the XC is really good IMO since while gaming it hit 70-71 degrees while gaming max and was very quiet. if it was like 100$, maybe, but I'd argue a watercooled, overclocked black could trump the ftw3. I would say while gaming it is slightly louder than a XBOX One X at max. I could hear the card with headphones on while gaming, as the fans had to run quite fast to keep the temps at 75C - stock clocks (I think this was just around 60% fan speed). Granted, my card basically sits in a wind tunnel that is stored in a 15c basement, but my core tends to like to sit in the upper 1900s to mid 2000s and I've never seen it over 65 (most of the time staying in the lower 60s).
